These are some sketches for a album cover project that I'm doing with my friend. I did these studies to just get a feeling for the pose that I wanted to use. The ones that I've checked off are the ones that I like the best and which I feel best portray the look I'm going for.
This is an illustration that I'm making for a project that a friend set up in conjunction with our school, Emily Carr. Me, along with my friends, got to choose specific places around the campus and we get to make some personnel illustrations based on the location. My location is the DOC, digital output center, where we print our artwork and scan things. One aspect of the DOC that I found really interesting was that they can print your artwork on canvas! :D So I chose to depict a student that is using the DOC to print her illustration on canvas.
This is still in progress as I want to tweak some thing but it's near completion :D
Some quick head sketches and a portrait of my girlfriend Cheryl :D She's a really awesome graphic designer, you can check out her work at http://cherylloh.com/. I am constantly learning so much from her and she's gotten me interested in so many things including typography and info-graphics! Seriously, info-graphics seem like the toughest things to make. Condensing so much information into something so sleek and simple just blows my mind. Thanks Cheryl :D
